The world's largest manufacturer of boat engines, Mercury Marine, sees Aspen alkylate petrol as an alternative to ordinary petrol for filling up all of its boat engines. Positive information that will be very beneficial to Scandinavia's marine environment.

Mercury Marine has been leading the world in marine technology and boat engine manufacture since 1939. The fact that such a large, reputable company sees Aspen alkylate petrol as an alternative to ordinary petrol, and for filling up all of its boat engines, must be viewed as a major environmental benefit for our watercourses.

"This gives Mercury Marine and their retailers the opportunity to derive advantage from the great environmental benefits that using Aspen alkylate petrol gives. At the same time, we are opening up new opportunities for our 3,000 existing retailers,"

says Aspen's Sales and Marketing Manager,

Mats Uhrlander.

If you fill up your pleasure boat with ordinary petrol, 300 times more pollutants will be released into the water compared

to filling up with Aspen alkylate petrol. Alkylate petrol also considerably reduces emissions of harmful hydrocarbons. However, the benefits of using alkylate petrol are not just environmental – alkylate is a more efficient fuel than ordinary petrol, the engines are kept cleaner and start up more easily when it is time to get out onto the water. It also keeps significantly longer than ordinary petrol and the tank does not need to be emptied during the winter.
