Aspen 2 changes colour!

New, red colour of Aspen 2, alkylate petrol

In October 2024, the Aspen 2 will receive a major update with a new distinctive red colour to improve visibility and distinction. The purpose is to create a unified global identity and make it easier for our customers worldwide to choose the right product.

Although no impact was expected, engine tests have been carried out to ensure that the change of dye in the petrol does not affect engine purity or performance, and that the red petrol is fully miscible with other fuel blends using different oils. We are convinced that this change will make it easier and safer for our customers to choose the “new” Aspen 2 for their machines and equipment.

Summary

  • The red colour improves visibility and distinction
  • Unified global identity
  • Tested and verified – the red colour does not affect engine cleanliness or performance
  • The petrol with red colour pigment can be mixed with other oil-mixed 2-stroke fuels
  • The change is expected to make it easier and safer to choose Aspen 2 for machinery and equipment

Aspen 2 is a pre-mixed 2-stroke Alkylate petrol, free from ethanol, benzene and many of the other hazardous hydrocarbons typically found in unleaded from the pump. This means that Aspen burns cleaner, reducing harmful emissions and providing reliable engine performance.

“Having promoted/distributed Aspen 2 in the UK for 20 years, i am really excited about this new update which will make it even easier for users to identify that they have the right fuel for the right machine. In the past the colour of Aspen 2 was never questioned but with recent changes to the fuel that is now sold at the forecourts, the “old” colour could sometimes be mistaken for neat petrol”
