The UK Forest Industry Saftey Accord (UK FISA) has publicly announced its recommendation for working with alkylate fuel.
Whilst it should be common knowledge amongst those working with petrol machinery, there are still many professionals that either choose not to believe that petrol fumes are dangerous or haven’t even heard there is an alternative to regular petrol. It is great news to have the recommendation of the Forest Industry Safety Accord to help professionals realise the dangers and choose safer practices. UK FISA are a steering group made up of leading industry organisations who encourage the industry to share good practice and provide additional training, advice and information. They are also responsible for the “Guidance on Managing Health and Safety in Forestry” publication.
